Biography

Renenutet: Egyptian goddess of the harvest and nourishment.

Clan Wanderer

Kind, welcoming, intelligent, outgoing, ethereal.

Stricken with the wanderlust of her home element, Renenutet was an inquisitive child who enjoyed exploring. This love of travel was fine when it was among her home, but eventually she became too curious and kept wandering further and further. The loss of her mother to the service of a different deity spurred frustration, confusion, and anger. In her emotional state, she ran from home to find solace in the thing she enjoyed most: wandering.

She traveled too far that time, though. In her blind emotion, Renenutet ended up in a festering desert unlike any she had ever encountered. Unfriendly clans passed her by, content to let the blistering contagion that was their home determine if she was worthy of surviving among the Plague. Days past, starvation took hold, and when she was near-death and too weak to fight Renenutet was discovered by Athena.

Athena dragged the dying child to the Wyrmwound, asking the Plaguemother to give her judgement on whether this creature deserved a second chance among the rotting center of Sornieth. The Plaguebringer agreed, rejuvenating the girl and making her stronger than she was before. Because of this kindness, however, the touch of the Wyrmwound cursed Renenutet with a particular disease.

In gratitude for her new home, she wanders in their favor: for recruitment, information, or exploration. Her beauty, a rare site among the clans of the Plaguelands, brings many a foreign dragon to the gates of her home in interest. But just as Renenutet is beautiful to strangers, she is also such to her diseased brethren. For the Wyrmwound gifted upon her the ability to decay and regenerate, though it is a condition she cannot control and one she has learned not to worry over. Whether curious travelers come upon the luxuriously beautiful Renenutet or the rotting, diseased monster is really up to chance.
