Arisus

Arisus, when but a young hatchling, got into something poisonous and ate it. While the poison should have outright killed him, it didn't. Despite surviving the encounter, he was abandoned by his previous clan when he gained the ability to breathe sheer poison. It shows in thick puffs of green mist which trails from his nostrils and pours from his mouth when he coughs or speaks.

Because of this, he attempts to keep quiet most of the time. When he does speak, his voice is dry and rasping. Arisus is afflicted by a terrible cough, and can fall into rather nasty convulsing fits of coughing. During these times, other dragons give him space to let the poison clear from the air.

He once asked Elan if she could heal his coughing, but when she tried and could not rid him of his cough, she touched his head and told him that The Plaguebringer wills the cough on. She does what she can to ease the pain that accompanies the coughing.

Arisus does not go out into battles simply because his coughing fits can drop him from the sky and stop him from fighting. He stays in the lair as a last resort of clan protection. As a windborne dragon, he has found he is able to shoot lethal poison-filled balls of air as attacks.
