Lock felt bad that the dragons that the clan so easily forgot the ones who were sent to the deities, so the clan made him keeper of the books. He not only records incoming or born dragons, he records any progress they have made, and then makes a note in the records so they aren't forgotten when they go off.

He is very caring, and most of the clan sees him as a caretaker, or someone to go to when they need help or comforting. Lock is also one of two who can keep Opal calm and friendly.
