Biography

Adopted and now a clan leader, Chalcedony focuses on ensuring everyone in the clan either gets along peacefully, or at least does not go out of their way to bother the others. Stoic and patient, he cares for all as his responsibility and goes out of his way to settle disputes and fusses with diplomacy, preferring to leave combat to Peridot and those who choose to train for it. His scarf is his favorite possession and he wears it in the same fashion as a dignitary he looked up to in the past. Some members of the clan see Chalcedony's single status as a challenge. While everyone contributes and produces hatchlings for honor and glory, it is common for pairs or more to be something closer to romantic relationships, regardless of who sires their children. Chalcedony has remained firmly single in that regard, and loves his children regardless of their looks. Certain clanmates have started a 'friendly' competition to see who can set him up with the best dragon. This challenge is on two levels; someone who Chalcedony will take as a romantic partner, and/or someone who produces consistently 'attractive' hatchlings. Thus far nobody has succeeded. More recently, Chalcedony has led the clan down from the high cliffs of Light Territory and ventured further into the brambles of Shadow. With the aid of Shakith the clan mage, he discovered a gap in the thorns leading to a strange place, far too big to fit within the Tangle without magic being involved. The structure is smooth and polished, appearing almost like a multi-leveled bazaar, albeit designed for much smaller races. There is no sign of the beastclans having ever set foot in this space, and indeed the strange floor coverings and dusty cages covering the openings suggest this place hasn't seen anyone new in a long time....
