Cryptae's life has began to flicker and wane. There was no warning, no signal, no sound, and as midnight passed, so did the winds and Cryptae's spirit. Passing by the den of Esme and Asim, Cryptae whispered a message to the female guardian.

Esme awoke with a start, gasping and eyes wide. She rushed to te den of the old protector and a tear fell from her eye at what she saw. There lying on the ground, curled perfectly around a precious treasure, was the body of Cryptae, eyes closed and a content smile upon her face. Her precious treasure she had wrapped around was but a tiny glowing egg of light which began to crack and shimmer. Light poured out of the egg, blinding the female guardian. As the light dimmed and faded, the body of the old guardian had vanished and now lying on the ground was a bright maize and jungle baby mirror dragon crying out for food and warmth.

Esme's single tears turned to many as the whispered words she heard pass through the night return to her.
"My body will soon be gone but I promise my spirit will stay so take care of me, for I may not remember you and I may not look as I once did, but I will always love this clan and I will protect you all....forever."

Aurora is a known to be the youngest of the Nomad Clan's Guardians. Most everyone in the core clan know who she really is, but they wont say for fear of destroying the dragon that now sits before them. Aurora is the reincarnation of Cryptae, the clan's very first Master Guardian, and Esme's teacher. Though she knows not of her true self she often will do or say something without thinking and someone often recognizes it as something Cryptae once said or did. Though she is her own dragon now, she displays many of the traits of the beloved guardian.

Though similar in many ways, Aurora and Cryptae do share a few differences. Aurora is quick, she can think on her feet and adapt quickly to stressful situations, Cryptae was often a strategist that liked to plan before acting. Aurora is open and friendly, she is a light in dark times and is often found smiling while watching over her beloved family. Cryptae did not have such luxury when Master Guardian and constantly had to be on alert and protect her tiny friends. But even with these small changes in personality she is still the same strong willed, even tempered, fierce protector of the clan. And though she is young now, Esme knows she will grow to quickly take her place once more as Master Guardian of the Nomad Clan.
