Xaitos
Defense and Strategy

Xaitos is an introverted tracker and defense organizer who prefers the company of very few. Raised by his Father to be a proud warrior, he has carefully picked through and eschewed many of Agustus's methods in favor of more defensive, heavy-hitting strategies that rely mainly on surprise and a lack of awareness on the part of the victim. His quiet nature, along with his general disapproval of much of Draconic society, keep him in the background of most casual observations, and he does little to alter this perception of himself. He is companionable with Yarrow out of a partial sense of nostalgia, and a fondness for the Wildclaw's sense of humor that it would take the imminent threat of death to force him to admit. Yarrow accompanied him from his home in the Lightning lands, when he decided he'd had quite enough of his parents and the general directionlessness of his home Lair. Their journey was one he would claim was unremarkable, though he learned much, and traded methodology with Yarrow until both had merged their fighting styles to match the others.

Xaitos arrived in the Plaguelands due to a faulty directional decision on Yarrow's part, and unhappily followed the Wildclaw until he nearly succumbed to a virus he'd picked up from drinking the water. A Tundra, called Anton, found the pair and took them in claiming to be an emissary of the Gods who wanted nothing more than to help those trapped in the Plaguelands. Though skeptical at first, Xaitos' time in the Lair fit well with his personal morals, and his requirements of freedom. One of the first groups rescued contained a personable, collected, and invasive young Coatl named Nightwish, whose overbearing curiosity and patience with Xaitos' boundaries, soon won him the defender's heart as well as his attentions.
The loss of Anton as a Lair leader has given Xaitos means to pause in his complacency; he disagrees with the rhetoric Tae spouts and understands that the actual Lair leader is probably Meredith, whose zealous views have never fully agreed with him. Should the situation not change itself soon, he will do his best to find another place to work.
Most recently, the loss of his Father has caused him to seek out Beracht and begin discussing with him the Spirals'...potential. Augustus' death cut him more deeply than it ought to have done, in Xaitos' opinion, and left him longing for home. He keeps the favor, a small tail bracelet, its charm filled with some of his Father's cursed flames, Augustus left him on his person at all times. The sentiment is one he cannot feel very well now, but recognizes that as a child, it would have meant the world; he figures he owes it to that part of himself, at least.

Personality: Quiet, shrewd, rational, passive aggressive, capable of small kindnesses
Mate: Nightwish, the only one who can forcibly direct him, the only one who calms his rages. Xaitos keeps his mate close and guarded; the most important individual in his life. Though both are open to flings and random couplings, their bond is with one another, and they make it well enough known
Familiar: There have been many, the small companions come and go. He lets his mate fawn over them, and trains them to guard when they're brought to him
Friends: Few, aside from Yarrow, Xaitos is loathe to actually call anyone "friend" directly. His preference is to have many 'acquaintances', and let his mate make the 'friendships' for him
