"I withstand all."

Tsvetan isn't one to be outdone. Since he was a hatchling, he always had an air of competition about him. He was from a small clan, an intimate collection of his family, and always had to be the first to volunteer for anything. While their clan traveled endlessly around the Viridian Labyrinth—nomadic even without being in Dragonhome—he helped them with gathering whatever plants he could. At his age, that usually meant the nearest leaves.

As he aged, though, he collected his parents knowledge on plants and gathering. When the leader began to age and they settled down, it was he who suggested starting to grow their own herbs close to their home in order to save them the time of searching the forests. It was a way of returning to the Gladekeeper what they took for their meals and wounds.

With mighty forepaws, it was no challenge to begin the task of farming. Tsvetan had a knack for it, although whether it was out of sheer will to be the best or more natural, one could never tell. He worked their hardest, though, and took tender care of all the plants he grew.

Eventually, their home grew more permanent. The older dragons were content to settle down, but those like Tsvetan still felt the pull of familiar trails. There was a lot to be learned out in the world and he wasn't keen on missing it.

At his siblings insistence (and much persuading) Tsvetan was encouraged to leave his farm for the older hatchlings to tend to. He, along with his siblings, would return to their nomadic lifestyle.

Much to his surprise, they journeyed out of the Labyrinth, following a made up path. Their travels took them southwest, to the Tangled Wood. On the outskirts of the Shadowbinder's realm, they met Aleksandra and Paris, two Skydancers that were also Nature born.

The Skydancers said they were traveling to the Icefields to find some old friends. With no set destination of their own, the Snapper family joined them in their journey. The Skydancers didn't mind it; they loved the winding stories the Snappers told.

In a little under a month, they found their way to the chilly frozen tundra of the Icefields. Tsvetan's brothers were content to continue along their winding path, to the Frigid Floes, but Tsvetan wanted to see the Skydancers journey through. He resolved to meet up with his siblings later and continued east to the Fortress of Ends.

The Skydancers admitted they didn't know where, exactly, their long-ado friends were. They knew them to be in the Fortress, but that was about it. This wasn't entirely comforting to Tsvetan, as the Fortress was known for its winding crags that swallowed dragons whole.

Coincidentally, they didn't have long to look. The Skydancers both had a strange way of telling just where to look and Tsvetan didn't question it. They didn't find who they were looking for immediately. Instead, they found Anthea locked in combat with a towering beast with might paws that bashed at the earth and shattered the ice.

Immediately, the three travels joined her in combat. Anthea was handling herself well enough, her strong hide taking blow after blow, but her opponent was larger than she and she had a tough time escaping his pounding hands long enough to strike.

Tsvetan rammed into the beast, drawing its attention, and let the monster swing at him. With an open wind, Anthea bit at the shins of the monster while Aleksandra and Paris flew up to claw and peck at the monster's face and eyes. Together, they defeated the beast.

Anthea thanked them and told them her story. Her clan had tasked her with eliminating the yeti—Tsvetan had never heard of such a thing before—but they hadn't known it was fully grown. She expressed her thanks to the trio and offered her assistance in any way, out of payment for their help.

After Aleksandra and Paris told their own story (how they were looking for a clan that had five dragons as their leader and many hatchlings in their care), Anthea started. It was her clan they were in search of, she was sure of it! The Five Warriors were the founders of their clan and mighty heroes for saving a collection of eggs. At this, the Skydancers paled but did not share why. Tsvetan followed the Skydancers and Anthea along, curious now despite himself.

Being introduced to the clan was peculiar as Tsvetan had never seen such a gathering of unique dragons before. Anthea was the only Snapper, but she kindly stayed close to him and explained the origins of their clan. He asked her how she came to stay with a clan rather than travel, and Anthea told the tale of her beginnings as well and how Odhran had saved her. She told him of Aelius, the clan's leader, who was wise and kind and a mighty warrior.

Tsvetan isn't sure when he decided he wanted to stay. Was it when he felt a rush of wholeness as he faught the yeti alongside Anthea and the Skydancers? Was it as Anthea led the way through the Fortress with such a confident surety? Or was it as he laid his eyes on the frozen ice caves that the Ice clan made their home in? Whichever it was, Tsvetan was quick to write to his siblings with his farewell.
