"I'm watching you, new blood. I'm watching you very closely."

While not one of the most outgoing dragons of the clan, Furion is certainly not unkind to its older members, who have proven their usefulness and loyalty (though the same cannot be said to his attitude toward newcomers). It is known that his only tolerance for them comes from his love for Miata - if she REALLY wants to drag in random, unknown dragons from all over, he has no right to argue, so long as it makes her happy to do so. But the second someone steps out of line and disappoints Miata, he is there to "remedy" the situation before the misbehaving dragon even knows what's happening.
Furion may have opened up to Miata's whims and generally lets her do as she pleases, but he is not at all so permissive about his daughter Ilena's wishes and activities. He watches her like a hawk, just as he watches all dragons who go near her. While Miata slips him gentle reminders that he cannot guard her like a hatchling forever, he still tries his hardest to do just that.
