In his younger days, Squall would always be the first to greet the newest interns, and even get more intimate than necessary. His charming personality and flirtatious nature mellowed out as he got older, although he's still quite charismatic and popular among the clan. Some might say he has Dad Energy, although he likes to consider himself the Fun Uncle, encouraging younger dragons to take risks they probably shouldn't take. But if no one else is watching, and a quick wink from Squall, well no one will find out, right?

Of course, he can't help but get dragged into finding family. Although technically Kasvit would be who most consider his mate, since they share a hatchling together, Cherish is also his mate, too. Squall might even argue he spends more time with Cherish, if her were to argue. Of course, he would never, since he does love both his mates as much as his little heart can handle. And while Kasvit and Cherish may not be mates with eachother in their odd little triangle, they do love and respenct one another in their odd little family. Every family has its quirks, Squall has learned.
And while he does his best with being a loving partner, he also has all his kids to worry about. His daughters Fefesan and Disobrol don't cause him too muych strife anymore, what with Fefesan gone so often with her crew on whatever adventures she's off to, and Disobrol burying herself in all those dusty books and scrolls. But, he loves his girls and cherishes any and all time he can spend with them. On top of his own daughters, there's Kasvit's side of the family, too. Komea has never been the friendliest with their ol' dad, but Squall knows they secretly enjoy when he lays on the dad jokes and old man humor. Komea is even accepting of Cherish as another dad, and the two do spend a lot of tiem together, mostly studying and experimenting with Cherish's prosthetics, but still family bonding time. Which Squall always approves of. And anything to reinforce to Cherish that he's just as much a part of the family as Squall and Kasvit. Of course, there's also Komea's mate Elsie, who is all but adopted at this point. Not to mention Elsie and Komea's kids, and Fefesan's crew, and Disobrol's - coworker? Assistant? - Brightworth, whatever his relationship to his daughter is, is part of the family too.

Squall never imagined he'd be this much of a family dragon, what with how flippant he was in his youth. Sure, he'd always wanted it, but never imagined he'd have such a large clan to call his family.
