Messenger's Guild


Azul’s claim to fame is his long-distance flying and powerful vocal chords; he runs reconnaissance, delivers important missives, makes official announcements, and serves as arial look-out for the Lair.

He’d make an excellent herald except that he can’t memorize anything longer than his name, and has a tendency to substitute words he doesn’t understand with the closest approximation he can think of.
This has been the cause of several calamitous misunderstandings (”Dame Verdigris recommends presenting your new hatchlings to the designated executioner for processing…? Wait.”) and Azul is now forbidden from making any announcements without the aid of a written prompt.


His first familiar was a Dwarf Truffle named Peat. Azul cared for this belligerent fungus from the first day it sprouted. His second familiar was a ragepuff named Mr. Screamy. Some have suggested that there are more rewarding familiars. Azul disagrees.
