Eyes of Plague. Heart of Ice.

| Jotunheimr
Cold and Intelligent |
Mate: Fancy

When Jotunheimr first entered the clan, it was uncertain what his role within it would be.

It was a small clan at the time, and shockingly peaceful for one which made it's home in the Scarred Wasteland. However, his interesting personality drew a certain amount of attention, and his intelligence was evident. So, even though he originally had no ambitions of doing so, he quickly fell into the unclaimed role of clan patriarch. Not long after that, he fell in love with a beautiful female named Fancy, and a short lasting reign for the two Coatls began.

Jotunheimr was a fair leader, but strict at times, and often considered cold hearted when it came to the offspring of others. He knew the benefit of having hatchlings from their own clan placed within others. Not only did the trade often mean that more gold and gems would be added to their hoard, which in turn meant that every member who remained could afford more necessities in order to survive, but having descendants of their clan's dragons within other clans also meant that they had a bargaining chip of sorts placed in other lairs. An unspoken alliance between at least one dragon from each clan and themselves. In his own mind, this was the right thing to do, but not everyone agreed.

Newly accepted Coatl, Paragon, was livid after his sons were bargained off to other clans without his consent, and with his bitterness, the first threat to Jotunheimr's rule began.
Paragon first challenged him when he had overheard the clan discussing the decision to also place his daughter within another clan. He attacked Jotunheimr viciously, nearly taking his eye in the process. Paragon was eventually defeated and put back into his place, but in a show of mercy, Jotunheimr allowed the unruly male to keep his daughter. Pargaon was anything but grateful, though. From that moment and onward, he plotted to remove Jotunheimr from his place as patriarch of the clan, and eventually, his wish became reality.

When a young female Wildclaw, Svikja, joined the clan, not many thought anything of the event. She was a sickly thing, having survived quite a long time on nothing but the bare minimum, but Jotunheimr and Fancy hoped that she would recover and serve the clan well when she was able to. When nursed back to health, however, this train of thought completely backfired. Svikja wasted absolutely no time in challenging the ruling couple, and in a shocking turn of events, succeeded in doing so. Jotunheimr's intelligence and charisma was the cause for his ascent, but his lack of ferocity was his eventual undoing. For a Coatl, he was strong, but he stood no real chance against Svikja, who was brutal and merciless while fighting. Reduced to marginally lower ranks, Jotunheimr and Fancy have now watched their own offspring be forced from the clan as bargaining chips, and have realized that perhaps it wasn't so "right" of a thing to do to their lesser clan mates, after all.

Ice Runestone Jotunheimr is generally calm and relatively kind to those he cares for, but he can also be a bit harsh and temperamental to anyone he considers a threat to either himself, or his clan. He loves winter more than any season. If it weren't for his blood red eyes, you may confuse him for an Ice dragon, and he sometimes takes advantage of this by traveling into Ice territory in order to enjoy the frigid temperature. Truthfully, if it weren't for his loyalty to his clan, he would likely to leave the Scarred Wasteland. He would never admit such a thing, though.
