Arcturus eyed her skeptically. "Why are you doing this? It must have been a devastating future, this vision of yours, to make such a fool of yourself over it."

Sia shook her head. "It's not about doom and destruction. I'm not some chosen one with a destiny to save the world. No one is counting on me, nothing depends on me. I just saw something beautiful, and I think others deserve to have the chance to see it too. Trust me, I would rather spend the day curled up with a book in the sun, but here we are. I know this is too important to ignore. So are you going with me or not?"

Arcturus paused and looked deep in thought. About what, Sia couldn't imagine. It would cost him nothing to tag along with her and everything to stay behind. He nodded once, and strode ahead of her into the open air. Sia smiled. "Off we go then."
