F E A T U R E S
Matvei sports only a few small scars, especially considering his age and reputation for trouble. Knicks in his wings are common, as well as a few small scars across his arms, snout, and legs. Beyond that, there is relatively nothing notable. As for accessories, he does not wear any flashy cloth or lavish jewels. Rather, he goes with simple - a coat of fur to look regal, a citrine ring for glamour, and ember filigree for sophistication.
P E R S O N A L I T Y
This Skydancer is a difficult dragon. As a hatchling he fought his higher ups, and even now he fights Firecracker and loaths any and all dragons above him in rank. Nobody is equal to him: everyone lower in rank is to be bossed about like slaves and anyone higher in rank is an enemy and only good dead. He is power hungry and will do everything in his power to get his way without being injured or killed in the process. His sly nature can allow him to manipulate the situation to his advantage... and Firecracker, his 'leader' knows it.
That one key element is perhaps his worst downfall. After nearly tricking Firecracker into becoming his mate, he'd fallen. The wary nature dragons are around him makes it difficult to use the former techniques of seduction and scheming he had come to know well. He's adjusted, but not overly well.
Despite that, Matvei does care. He cares about his son, Wesly, like any good father. With all his failures and troubled, insane mind, he will go to the ends of the earth to protect him and take a bullet to his chest if it means his son is safe.
H I S T O R Y
Matvei started out with two loving parents, both Skydancers, and both kind. However, he had a whole load of siblings, which meant that he had to fight for whatever he got. Matvei quickly learned techniques in manipulation and clever ways to compromise (with him getting the better deal, of course). As soon as he was 4 days old, however, his parents decided there was only one option as soon as he became old enough to fend for himself. Exile. They saw the evil and blood lust in their son's eyes and banished him from his homeland only a day later.
Matvei, coming across a lone Guardian only a week later, helped her found a clan. His desperation to find a home, food, and a mate had taken him into the humility Firecracker had thought she'd seen in the Skydancer. But as soon as the clan began to grow and change... darkness had once again set in Matvei's soul.
Firecracker was his only easy shot at becoming leader. To become her life long mate was to become second in command... and later murder her or break her to do his will. However, his attempt to whoo and manipulate her was unsuccessful when for many a week Firecracker chose never to find a mate. His second attempt to whoo her she caught onto his antics, figuring out his eventual plan and never trusting him again. The Skydancer's only hope to live in the clan further was through Firecracker's compassion, which was given to him.
Since then he's been planing, fuming, scheming, and downright attempting to murder those higher up in the clan. Already he had succeeded with one derg, and he knows that one day -one day- he will be able to destroy Firecracker. To let her bleed out and to take his rightful place as ruler of the Frostwing Alliance.
To add onto his troubles, Myadni, a tough-as-nails Wildclaw 'stole' two of his children from him after their eggs had hatched. A confrontation beforehand enabled him to snatch back Wesly, but he lost the other two of the nest to his former mate. He brooded over the loss, vowing to one day find and take back what was rightfully his... to turn his hatchlings against their mother and to destroy her.
He would one day manage to manipulate Firecracker into his grasp, knowing that having offspring in the high ranks would serve him well in the long run, especially if he were able to control them... even if only in small ways.
