Elcid needed a purpose. He loved the soft breezes of the Windswept Plateau, but he found himself feeling restless. Even the Mire held no more mysteries for him, as he learned every trick and move an opponent could throw at him. He took a few lovers, and moved around. He felt great love for his children, especially Lucina, who wanted to follow in his footsteps and be a mighty warrior. It was only as he began to train her that he realized that young dragons were the key to fixing his purposelessness. Looking at the Mire through their eyes was wonderful, and he was able to see the foes with a new light. Setting out, Elcid sought out young warriors to train and help to become great.
