Savannah, upon hatching, was immediately trampled by her older brother. He was loud enough that she felt like that was enough, that the air couldn't possibly hold any more words than his. So she stayed quiet, but that turned out to be a mistake - soon it felt like silence was expected from her, while fewer and fewer other things were. She isn't content with staying this way, though; surely in whatever new clan she goes to she'll have the chance to make a new impression.
