she's a very well-traveled lady, having stayed at least briefly in probably half the regions of sornieth (and may or may not have been a pirate captain for a considerable portion of that time). she doesn't really have any familial connections; her parents left to serve the ice warden long ago, and all but maybe 2 or 3 of her many hatchlings were chosen to serve the deities in every land she passed through

she came into the clan from elsewhere in windswept plateau. despite her checkered past and predilection for dodging questions, she was entrusted with taking the lead because of her considerable experience (both as a well-seasoned traveler and as a leader, regardless of where the experience came from). she was a little, uh, cautious and uncertain of the clan at first, but she recognizes they're basically good and will watch her back should she need them.

she's very grounded and direct. not as ambitious as she used to be in her heyday, but when she has her mind set to something she won't accept anything less.
