Biography

Sanquin is a tough and haughty dragon who refuses to let others push her around. A Plague dragon to the core, Sanquin is specifically proud of ability to handle rot and detritus. The only reason she ended up in a Nature clan in the first place was because she was chasing a gorgeous Nocturne named Noxis. There, she was met with competition in the form other the skittish Nocturne Perren who also fancied Noxis and Sanquin largely remained in the clan because her bitterness pushed her to win Noxis and smack Perren down.

Unfortunately for both of them, Noxis was also a very vain and somewhat dense dragon and she had little desire for either of them. Ultimately, she moved on from the clan, leaving Sanquin in an awkward position. Much of her reason for remaining there was stripped away, and as a Plague dragon, she was treated with caution by many of her Nature clanmates. Based on the fact that she had been passed over for Perren when considering a Plague representative, Sanquin suspected that she would never be accepted or respected and considered leaving herself.

Then the tough Mirror Aline noticed her moping around and kicked her into shape. She reminded Sanquin that as a Plague dragon who was afraid to get her talons dirty with toxic and rotting material, she had a unique purpose within the otherwise Plague-averse clan. Taking her advice to heart, Sanquin rededicated herself to her work - to keeping her clan a clean place where her clanmates could thrive with less injury and illness.

Seeing her work ethic and what she was able to do for them, the clan's leader herself realized that she had been holding onto a bias against Plague dragons who didn't adapt to Nature life instead of seeing that the two actually could live in harmony. Agreeing with Perren on the matter, Averrose agreed to transfer the title of Plague representative to Sanquin, who upheld her new sense of duty with the pride, and began to spend significantly more time with Aline.
