Some members of the clan like to tease Jamshid that he’s just an alligator. He wallows in the pools and waterways, submerged save for his nostrils and the line of ridges along back and tail. Occasionally, a brief sparkle of deep blue eyes are seen, but for the most part, the Snapper seems entirely unconscious. Most of the clan simply can’t hear what he does; while others know that Water dragons are scryers, they don’t realize that it’s more than just peering into a pool. Whispers come along the currents, pulling along what they have heard. From upriver, hints of past, present, and future ripple through.
