| Emeriss has been alone for as long as she can remember so she has no knowledge of her family and their whereabouts. Her darkly colored scales have attributed to her survival as well as her ability to quickly adapt to any situation. Tsumazuku joined up with her a few years later after being kicked out of her own clan by the Alpha Male. They've been friends and, later on, mates ever since. |

Shadows; the first thing I remember as a hatchling. Black as a moonless and as silent as gentle breeze. From the moment I was born I should have died. Looking back, how I even hatched without a mother is beyond me. No one was there to hear my first cry, though I should count that as a blessing more then a curse. The night stalkers seemed content to leave me be. A newborn I may have been but the hunter blood coursing through my veins already told me what I needed to do.
Feed.
Pure instinct is the only thing that kept me alive my first two weeks. To this day I will attempt to deny it but I did something that is a taboo to all mirrors. I fed on insects. Meat wasn't on the menu and wouldn't be for a while. I found the small, slow, and delicate creatures more filling then the idea of starving and as an abandoned hatchling I had no sense of dignity nor did I realize the reputation I was supposed to uphold.
