Electrified is the clan alchemist. She loves the job and enjoys an ongoing friendship with Baldwin. However, her life was no always this simple and great.

Electrified used to live in a clan of blacksmiths, but that didn't mean she liked it. Though she was a lively dragon, she didn't enjoy the work she had been born into. She felt like a slave in her own home. Forced to do work she did not want to, life wasn't really enjoyable at times. The breaks she got, although few and far between, where one of the most enjoyable things in her childhood, seconded only by sleep. Sleep was an brilliant thing she could not have lived without. She worked nearly all day, training hard but without any enthusiasm, and she always crawled half-asleep into her small den, a small hole in the wall carved by long ago lava. Her clan lived in the mighty Great Furnace, as the best blacksmithing clan in Sornieth. And although there was room for many more, only fifty-two dragons inhabited it.

And although many dragons in her clan urged her to be proud of her home and heritage, she couldn't be, not when she was forced to work for countless hours where the sun would never shine. Minutes dragged like hours and hours felt like days, but despite her dislike for her job, she knew it was inevitable and worked as hard, perhaps even harder, than anyone. Even if she hated what she was forced to do, she wanted to be a child her clan and parents could be proud of.

And though she was forced to give her life to the art of metal-working, she had to admit her clan was kind. They tried their best to give her time to play and relax, and though it wasn't much, she enjoyed the time she got. They gave her comforts, like small, metal toys that could move when she played with them. However, that did not make up for the time lost with interactions with the other hatchlings. She had been part of a two-egg nest, and the only nest at the time. By the time she and her sister where born, the other hatchlings where older, more experienced, and bullies to them.

Electrified had been the weaker of the two siblings. Her clan didn't think she would live past her third dawn. But her parents never doubted her. They always knew, without a doubt, that she would live to grow and flourish like the rest of her clan. They looked forward to her third dawn, when she would show her clan that she was tougher than they though. And show them she did! And though she was weak and small, she was not helpless. She did not give in to the weakness that threatened her since birth. The clan was shocked when she saw her fourth dawn. Her fifth dawn. Her sixth dawn. She lived, and the clan gradually stopped worrying about her. Until her first birthday.

On her birthday, exactly, she was struck by a terrible illness. It crippled her, leaving her as weak as when she started. Again, the clan didn't give her three days. But yet again, her her parents never doubted her inner strength. She was as much of a surviver as one born to the Wyrmwound. Her parents saw the fire in her heart, and though they cared for her fiercely, they new that the flame would not extinguish to her ongoing illness.

Her parents where right, and when she was old enough to begin her work, she was strong enough as well. Though the other dragons feared what the smoke may do to her, she was determined to show them that she was just as strong as any of them. At this point in life, she was excited. This was her chance to prove herself to be strong, even after the illness had threatened her life!

But things didn't look up when she started her first lesson. She suffered a burn to the tip of her tail, and she found that the job that she had been given without choice was not as fun as she had initially thought it would be. Furthermore, the smoke in the air did not help her with her weakness. She was slowly beginning to get weaker because of it, and half way into her first year she constantly had a terrible cough. However, she did not let this stop her, and worked harder than ever to prove her worth.

But while she had a sister that protected her throughout her first year of her long training, that comfort didn't last long. An accident killed her sister only days before their second year in training would have been announced. After getting in a fight with two of the older, nastier apprentices she was killed. Though the two never meant to kill her, the fight had led to the ledge that marked her clans territory, and all three of them fell into the heart of the volcano, never to emerge. They where so tangled together they could not get their claws and wings apart in time to stop their plunge into the hot, bubbling magma.

Electrified, with her strong bond to her sister, broke. What would she do without her sister to protect her from the taunts and jabs that the other hatchlings threw at her due to the illness she could not escape? Even her parent's grief, although great, paled in comparison of Electrified's. Her sister had always defended and helped her, and this battle she had fought was for Electrified. The two bullies had been taunting her when her sister attacked them, despite the fact that she outnumbered her two to one.

Electrified never fully recovered from her sister's unjust fate. However, it pushed her to work harder. The other dragons saw Lightning's death as a sign of weakness in Electrified's blood, which made dragon's see Electrified as even weaker than before. But blacksmithing was not meant for Electrified, and if life kept going like this, she would never reach her full potential.

She never saw the sun either; the sky was clouded by the great plume of smoke that rose from the depths of the volcano, blotting out the the sun. The only light came from the lava.

But they had to get food, so every dragon went out before becoming an adult at least three times to gather food and see the sun. Electrified was excited by this prospect. She would be able to feel the sun! But she was not prepared for the next stage of her life.

She flew up past the smoke, coughing immensely, and into the great world beyond. Her wings screamed in protest. She had never flown this far in her life. The closest thing to flight she had ever experienced was short flying lessons in clan. The weakness within her was no help either. By the time they landed, she was exhausted and scarcely able to stand. They where forced to rest until she recovered her strength. But there was a pack of Wraith Hounds that could sense her weakness, and they weren't going to pass up a chance like this.

The first thing that Electrified heard was the growling and the growing sense of fear. Her companions also seemed to sense that something was aloof, for they stood guard with their claws ready for a battle. And then they attacked. A ruthless pack that offered no mercy. Electrified was forced to flee.

She never found her birth clan again. She fled many miles over the course of several days, putting as much distance between her and the Wraith Hounds as possible. However, it also put a long distance between her and her home. She would never be able to find her way back, and the wraith hounds could still be prowling the Ashfall Waste. But with her weakness, she was an easy prey for anything. She was lost, helpless and alone. Even blacksmithing was better than this. At least she had had a family and a warm den to sleep in.

With no other choice, she pressed on. By now, she was skirting the edges of the Sea of a Thousand Currents, too scared to go back to the Ashfall Waste. After many, many days of traveling she came upon the Tangled Wood. She was still a hatchling then, and it was a wonder she had made it this far. A dragon, named Teena, happen to see the lost and bewildered hatchling. She took her to The Clan of the Moonlight Caverns, where she now has found her job as an Alchemist. She first found her roll when Baldwin managed to mix up a medicine that cured her of the weakness that plagued her since birth, and she decided to try out alchemy. Now that she has found a job that suits her, life is great.
