Biography

Perses was playing with his younger brother Alcaeus outside the lair on a snowy day, showing the young tundra the joys of freshly fallen snow. After some time it started to snow heavier than before, the winds began to rage and they suddenly found themselves caught inside a blizzard. They quickly ran to the next best shelter inside a cave, waiting until the storm subsides so they could get back home to safety. Both tundras cuddled up to keep each other warm while Perses began to tell stories about the Icewarden to Alcaeus. Alcaeus didn't seem to enjoy stories about the strict and emotionless Deity so Perses made up new funny and somewhat ''mocking'' ones. His brother enjoyed the new stories so much so he ended up falling asleep. A few hours later they heard footsteps coming closer, unaware of the danger facing them. A winter wolf seeking refuge in the same cave as our brothers. Perses hid the sleeping hatchling behind a boulder and took the wolf face on by himself. He barely won, but it scarred him forever. A disfigured face, injured wing and leg, Perses would never be the same again. The wolf fled after the fight, making Perses seize his chance, taking the hatchling with him and bringing him back home.

After this incident Perses was sure this experience was Icewarden's punishment for his made up stories, therefore he dedicated his entire life worshiping him as to never make him angry again. Whether it really was the Icewarden is unknown, but Perses strongly believes in it. His beliefs are so thoroughly imprinted into the back of his mind, he later on detested Alcaeus' choice of becoming a healer. A healer or not, if the Icewarden doesn't want someone to live they won't, no matter which herbs or spells they may use. This also strongly contradicts with many other dragons in the lair, isolating Perses furthermore from the pack.

He never told Alcaeus where he got his injuries. His brother might blame himself for it, because he was the one who wanted to play outside longer.
