Hoenhiem is a reserved and intelligent Guardian. He's studied heavily in medicine, and is a very adept healer. He can make many kinds of medicines and is very informed about injuries and diseases. He might've become a doctor had he not met his lovely mate, Trisha.
From a young age, Hoenhiem knew that he would eventually find his Charge. He was, however, convinced that his Charge would be the people of his home clan. As such, he studied medicine so he would be able to protect their lives in that way.
One day, his clan traveled to the Tangled Woods, where he met a beautiful and powerful Spiral girl. Trisha was an aspiring mage, and a powerful one at that. She was kind and talented and beautiful and before he knew it Hoenhiem was head-over-heels in love. He still didn't know who or what his Charge would be, but he knew that this girl was going to be a part of his life forever.
The two courted and eventually became a couple. During this time, Trisha became a more powerful mage. However, there was a power struggle within her own clan, and many dragons felt threatened by Trisha's power. In an attempt to intimidate the Sprial woman out of becoming the Head Mage of the clan, they tampered with the runes she was studying with. This resulted in a freak accident during a casting that left her blind.
Hoenhiem visited Trisha as she healed, and helped her cope with the loss of her eyesight. She knew she'd never read a rune again, and had no future left within the clan.
Hoenhiem saw that Trisha was receiving improper care, so he took it upon himself to heal her himself. As he tended to her wounds, he suddenly felt drawn to her in a way he never had before. In a moment, he realized that his mate was his Charge, and his Search was over.
The couple left their respective clans; Trisha not feeling safe during the power struggle, and Hoenhiem following Trisha to the end of the world. The pair began a long trek to... wherever. They knew not where they were going, but they did know that they were going together.
Their trip was going well, and they covered a lot of ground until a group of Beastclan attacked. Hoenhiem managed to fight them off and keep Trisha safe, but was wounded in the process. He blacked out before help could find them. When he woke up, he was in the presence of a powerful Tundra male named Havok.
The couple moved in with Havok's family, who received them both well and gave them companionship and a home. However, the clan's matriarch doesn't care much for Trisha, which gives the two a lot of trouble. But they're still managing to live happily within the clan, and are even expecting children!
Hoenhiem can be a little short-tempered, but has the best interest of his loved ones at heart. He's intelligent and stubborn, but is an incredible healer. He's proving very useful during his stay and has become something of the clan's doctor. He and Havok are especially close friends, and the children love him!
