"Truth is beautiful, without doubt; but so are lies." - Ralph Waldo Emerson With beguiling smiles and delightful words always at the ready, Artemisia is often seen by outsiders as too young and carefree for leadership, but beneath her outwardly innocent and happy shell is a libertine and free-thinker with a wayward moral compass. Mindful of the dangers of politics, she keeps her carefully constructed blithe facade in place to mislead her rivals and lead on her supporters. She wields her image of a ditzy spoiled princess to great effect, and oftentimes her victims do not realize the danger she poses until it is far too late (if they realize at all). Despite her self-indulgent ways and opulent lifestyle, Artemisia does care about her clan. She understands perfectly each and every member of House Riordan (though they may not understand her) and she uses this understanding to her advantage. She firmly believes that the end justifies the means, and is not below manipulating her subjects in order to achieve what she believes is best for them. Artemisia is known for keeping her cool even under immense pressure. In times of war, rather than rely on brute force or sheer numbers to conquer her enemies, cunning tactics and subterfuge are her main weapons. |
