Oh, well, that is a surprise, given what I've heard. I'm sure it's a matter of perspective, really. But for a Narn, two minutes must be a long time, so if you go the duration, it's an accomplishment. But for the Centauri, hours can go by before you even get to the good parts.

Named for Thy'lek Shran from Star Trek: Enterprise.

Thylek was born in the Shifting Expanse, born to be a guard of the Lighting Farm - protecting it from... it's 'enemies' - those that would seek to destroy it or slow it's production. Both of which are things that the Stormcatcher does not stand for, and so he orders his guards to reproduce a new generation of guards every so often, and train them up to do their job. This is how Thylek came into the world, not because of love and certainly not because his parents wanted to have him, but because the Lighting Farm was in desperate need of more slave labor and his parents were under orders on threats of death. This is how Thylek spent his early life: slaving away in a remote training camp in the boiling heat that rolled off of the Tempest Spire. Determined not to live the life his parents had, Thylek trained hard to be the best he could be, not so that he may better serve his deity, but so that when the time came and he was given his chance to flee this horrible place, he would take it and make it, or he would die trying.

However, he need not have been so dramatic, for when the guards came to take the newly inducted trainees back up to the farm proper, the guards were so tired from all the extra shifts they had been pulling lately, that Thylek made a run for it, and did not get caught.

Heat still on his wings, he flew as fast and as far as he could, seeking out the coldest region he knew of - a place he had only heard talk of from gossiping recruits that had heard of it. A frigid landscape known simply as the Southern Icefield. And he found it, and so much more. Icheb himself found Thylek, laying belly-up in the snow one morning when he was out for a perimeter stroll, and Icheb carried the stricken young skydancer back to the cave upon his back, as Thylek was not awake at the time he was found. The nurses of the clan did their duty well and nursed him back to full health. Now, Thylek repays their kindness by doing what he was trained for: guarding the perimeter of the clan's lands and acting as a field medic when needed. He also dons a rough hood to hide his eyes, so that none who look upon him can tell his origins, in fear that he may one day be found out and sent back by spies and servants of the Stormcatcher.
