Caligo is a vital member of the Den’s excursion team and specializes in covert and ranged combat, she is also a part of the clan’s training team. While most recruits are trained by either Tullius or Carta occasionally Caligo will spot a student with an aptitude for stealth and will take them under her wing. Students under her tutelage must be fast learners as Caligo gets bored quickly with apprentices who can’t keep up. When out with the team, Caligo serves as an effective scout, using her many eyes and natural stealth to spot enemies and otherwise unforeseen dangers that might confront them. In the midst of combat, Caligo provides cover fire from whatever well-hidden niche she has managed to wedge herself in. On the rare occasion Thebis feels the lair may be under threat from an enemy he can’t handle on his own, Caligo would be tasked with tailing the enemy and tracking their movements through the valley.

Positive first impressions are not Caligo’s strong suit. Although to be fair, it’s difficult to make any kind of first impression when you’re covered in a plethora of moving eyes. Caligo was once a member of the Ocuvse Cult an oft-whispered about but, little-known group, that worships a blind but all-seeing entity known only as the Unseen. Those that have been shown favor in this cult are blessed with the gift of the Many Eyes. Their rank is supposedly reflected in the number of eyes they’ve obtained. While Caligo is no longer a part of the Ocuvse she still practices many of their traditions and refuses to give up her eyes as is demanded of all dragons who defect. For this reason, Caligo has hidden away in the far-flung corners of the Icefields in an attempt to escape the cults far-reaching grasp. Despite her best efforts Ocuvse agents do occasionally manage to locate her and attempt to reclaim her eyes. Thankfully, they rarely make it into the Den and on the off chance they manage to catch Caligo out on an excursion she’s more than capable of defending herself and showing her assailant just how a dangerous a Many Eyes rogue can be. The sudden occurance of the Multi-eyed gene in dragons throughout Sornieth has only made it easier to hide her presence. When asked why she left the cult Caligo has a variety of colorful and obviously false tales to tell but the honest reason has only been told to a few close dragons in the Den who refuse to divulge her secret.

Caligo’s prankster personality was virtually nonexistent when she first arrived at the Den. Paranoid and more than a little world-weary she spent most of her time burrowed deep into the wall of the mountain waiting for the agents she knew were trying to hunt her down to show themselves. It was only after the first few dragons sent to collect her eyes were forcibly defeated and she wasn’t rejected from the clan for having brought them to its doorstep that she began to show her true colors. Now her devil-may-care attitude is virtually unrecognizable from the dragon that had shown up at the entrance years ago. Tullius eventually pulled her in the direction of the training halls. Stating that ‘If she was going to live here she had better start making herself useful’. Her ability to spot danger from nearly any direction made her invaluable to the excursion team and the freedom and protection the Den offered in return was more than enough reason to make it home. She and Aion became steadfast friends as Aion's easy going temperament allows him to weather Caligo's personality with ease and they've bonded over the many battles they've fought together.

While invaluable as an asset there are plenty of reasons to avoid Caligo if you lack an easy going sense of humor. Caligo is fond of practical and impractical jokes and pranks. While none of them have proven deadly yet many of her ideas can ruin a dragon's day or even a week if she’s feeling particularly creative. The severity or frequency of these pranks is generally a reflection of Caligo’s feelings for the targeted dragon. New residents of the Den are generally avoided while those she holds dear can expect any number of tricks from her on a regular basis. The worst thing one can do is to retaliate as Caligo would love nothing more than a prank war. One of the few enforced laws in the Draumer Den states that a prank war must last no longer than three days for this reason. A firm believer in the ‘confuse don’t abuse’ policy Caligo’s pranks are almost never malicious. The rare exception being when another clan threatens the Den in someway. These clans may suddenly find that weapons have gone missing from their armory or that eggs have been thieved from their hatchery mere days before the Draumer Den attempts to negotiate peace. These occurrences will get steadily more severe as the opposing clan holds out.

The Fortress of Ends Excavation

Caligo was one of the few who remained in the Den after the excavation was closed. Unwilling to give up the only place she felt safe. There has been less time for fun lately and Caligo’s pranks have been few and far between as she and the team spend more and more time traveling attempting to reassemble resources lost in the aftermath of so many dragons leaving. What little downtime she has in the Den is usually spent helping Thebis patrol the perimeter of its territories on the lookout for ambitious clans that might try and take advantage of the chaos.
