Biography
Hurricane MEANS well, he really does. He's a bright young lad, fascinated by science and so very eager to learn, surrounded by brilliant scientists as he is. But unfortunately, he does about as well in a lab as his namesake would - anything he touches just seems to blow up in his claws. Glasses break, electricity surges, contraptions sputter and die. It's become a running joke amongst his clanmates; if you want a project to ever reach completion, don't let Hurricane near it. Some even speculate that he may have run afoul of a curse of some entity. Still, ever the optimist, he refuses to let it get him down and hopes for the day that he can help create something amazing.

Despite his reputation, he was the successor to Pharen, the previous wind elementalist. Pharen was popular and laid-back. Hurricane, however, is a dragon wrecking ball - while yes, he can definitely provide power and enchant things, he's stepped into the role of quintessential mad scientist in an organized collection of mad scientists: everything around him goes awry in new and inventive ways, or horribly, horribly right.
Scylling suggested his selection, possibly as a joke. His nomination was seconded by Novarone (immediately after Behiale's veto), Omen, Selvasthire, Flux and Zodiac (most likely to make sure that they didn't have less coatls in the group). That was all it took, but it causes some friction among those who didn't agree.
Hurricane's inclusion means that no one dares take too long, or leaves anything out and in his potential path. The labs are definitely a lot neater than they were before he showed up.
(Part of the Elementalists - dragons tasked with adding and balancing different energies to the Machine
Behiale (nature), Zodiac (ice), Novarone (plague) Scire (lightning), Omen (light), Scylling (shadow), Flux (arcane), Firestorm (fire), Artifact (earth), Selvasthire (water), Hurricane (wind)
Successor to:
Pharen
