Agate is doted on by her parents. Initially, Katarina was uncertain about how Agate would turn out, as she was worried about messing up. However, Cymophane assured her that their daughter would turn out well.

Agate looks up to her aunts, particularly Caryo. She wants to help with aiding in Clan Defense and learns from both her mom and aunt on how to fight. Despite knowing that she wants to do this, she's uncertain about fighting, particularly if it's against other dragons or Beastclan members.

When she's not training, she's often lost in a daydream about things where she doesn't have that limitation. Agate does wonder if she wears armor with a lot of spikes and such on it if it'll intimidate enemies so they'll flee. She does doodle, but it's often just random swirls and lines.

When Cerussite became part of the Clan, she didn't understand why he was considered scary to others. So she'd figure that she'd hang around him to see if she couldn't pick up tips. However, when she found out the real reason as to why he's seen as scary, she left him in shame and didn't want to see him anymore, as it would remind her of how she treated him.

So it was quite the surprise when she found a gift outside her area of the lair. Agate cautiously accepted it, but realized that she'd have to seek out the one that gave her that gift. Even if it meant confronting the shame she felt.

Agate found him, but didn't know what to say or how to say how she felt. He seemed to pick up on it and told her that he liked her. He also told her that they are cousins. Realizing that she was forgiven, or that he didn't see what the big deal was, she went back to hanging around him. This time because she really did enjoy his company. She wasn't going to forget her lesson anytime soon!

As a result, Agate has become very attuned to Cerussite that she can understand his body language completely. This has been beneficial, since no one else can.

Agate was accidentally involved with an incident with her grandpa Citrine; he was testing out magics that would strength one's defense using nature magic. She ended up in the way and was hit by the spell. However, she took to it well, feeling that it helps make her look more intimidating towards the Clan's enemies.

She has learned from Hyann a more fluid fighting style with her sword and has gained quite a bit of confidence from that. The two have become close and are mates.
