Even the heavens are denied to me here.

Named after one of the highest ranks in the Remen military from Star Trek Nemesis.

Praetor was given his name due to his nature: tough, no-nonsense, and most of all commanding. The other dragons in the clan all respect him, despite that he is not the largest or most imposing looking dragon in the lair. They all respect him due to his nature and fearless attitude. The only one in the clan who can break through his icy personae is his mate, Ahlen, who is also the only dragon in the world to have seen his softer side.

I know my enemy, commander, they don't leave much room for optimism.

Despite his wolf-like appearance, there really is nothing similar at all between Hati and your common canine. Hati comes from the stars, and claims that he one day wants to return there. Praetor has often observed him late at night, staring up at the stars and the moon, there are times that he even howls, like the common wolf.

Part of Praetor wants to help his dear friend, but another part of him doesn't want to see him leave. It's a contradiction of not only the mind, but the soul, and he doesn't know how to reconcile it within himself. He tries, hoping that perhaps simply the act of trying to help will convince Hati that he does want to, but alas, he doesn't really help for the same reason. Praetor finds it all very confusing, and hopes to one day reconcile it all within himself.
