Rudolph the red-nosed dragon actually had quite a bit more red scales and fur than his name let on. A powerful magic-user, he is known by his enemies as 'Rudolph the Ruthless Reindeer', able to punch his enemies with projectile ice and to hold up surprisingly well against attackers with his thick fur and stocky stature. He is responsible for training new defenders of the clan with Colthair and Kane, and teaching young talents of the clan magical skill - though they don't come around very often. He's also a proud father of many, many dragons - and his only real love interest was Nowi, a guardian from another clan. He was, however, terrible at wooing her. His poetry and gifts came out with terrible double meanings. While he forgot her - being a Tundra is a terrible burden in the memory department - he remembers her occasionally by the scent left on letters he has received from her, and kept his memory of his love for her alive with a veritable trove of hand-written notes. At this point, he has forgotten her almost entirely, and only remembers her when he comes across his stash of notes while cleaning. He ended up fostering a Tundra hatchling from Tonghua's clan, the daughter of their matriarch, and named her Anwyl. He loves her dearly and she is now one of the clan's defenders, using a combination of fierce strength and potent magic to keep the clan safe. His power over ice has manifested physically, his breath permanently frosty and his paws and fur freezing over when ice touches them. This might be a problem for some dragons, but Rudolph is an ice dragon living in nature - it's a necessity to survive, especially in the sweltering summers in the Viridian Labyrinth. He weaves enchantments to keep the other Tundra in the area cool and happy in the sweltering heat of the jungle. |
