Toren was the firstborn son of the Spiritus Draconis Captain of the Skull Riders, Atieno. He inherited his father's tough crystaline hide - which was seen as a boon of favor from the Windsinger in the Spiritus Draconis clan. As soon as he left his mother's brood nest, he began the process of following in his father's footsteps and becoming one of the clan's guardians. He quickly worked his way through the training ranks - surprising and surpassing dragons that had been in training long before he arrived. He now leads the adolescent males in the Skull Riders - a small team of covert daytime sentries who guard the Matriarch of the clan.

Toren is quiet and only speaks when he feels it is absolutely necessary. He is more likely to physically correct one of his charges using a quick swipe of his sharp claws than to vocally reprimand them. He is also known for his terrifyingly sharp gaze which has been said to stop beasts several times his wingspan in their tracks.

The fierce young dragon focuses all of his time and energy on his duties to his Matriarch so he has yet to consider any dragons of his clan to take as a mate - though he hopes to father many sons to raise up in the ranks of the Skull Riders.
