He’s full grown when they find him, long past his hatchling days. He seems to be mute because he hasn’t said a word. They ask his name but he gives no hint he’s even got one. From what the older members can tell he’s definitely been in a pack, he has all the mannerisms of someone who’s been in a roaming mirror pack since birth or near to it. Yet he also seems to have been alone for a long time, instinct honed in ways that says he’s had no one in his corner but himself. He’s wary of beastclan members and stays far away from Plague dragons as needed.

But they see something more civil in him in the way he watches over the hatchlings and walks carefully through flower fields. He seems to enjoy the daylight, dozing in the brightest patch of sun he can find. Blood scales usually speak of a more violent nature, a bloodlust that gods themselves see fit to warn of. They do see it or something like, some sharp edge that appears at the darkest times of the night or in that split second when he’s been startled and hasn’t realized it’s a friend. They worry on it, if it’s been there from the start or if he’s a monster in the making, because everyone thought he was one already. For now though he has done no harm and they are content to let him stay and even try to find the edges that aren’t sharp or jagged or rough and draw them to the forefront.
