The Scholar
Studies and learns, and remembers

Megalith was born into the Dawn Clan to a cold, distant father and a mother who found herself with a greater purpose in life than a couple of hatchlings to rear. Without a parental figure to guide him, Megalith found himself in the library's archives most of the time. This was where he hid from his siblings - younger though they might be, they were more aggressive and their play turned violent easily. The archives were his parents, his home, his sanctuary. He grew up on books, and had a strong desire to learn from the very beginning. As time passed, many of his siblings left the nest, led by his mother to the Gladekeeper's domain - but Megalith remained, mesmerized by the countless worlds unexplored in the books before him.

As such, this grand Imperial is made more of brain than of brawn. Although he is quite a large dragon, especially compared to the smaller species in the Clan, battle is the furthest thing from his mind - and he is not a skilled warrior, either. His greatest weakness perhaps would be his blindness - without his glasses, Megalith doesn't stand a chance. With a bit of study and many nights practicing, he has learned enough magic from spell books in his collection in order to protect himself and defend his books, if the need arises. Until then, he records everything he learns in thick, leather-bound journals which he keeps stacked by his nest (of course, at this point in his career he has more than just one!). His favourite subjects to study include Arcane magic, the history of the planet's natural geography, and the heavens. Despite this, his most frequent request is from the gardener to share his knowledge on plants.

Megalith is a very loyal dragon. Once he gets to know someone, and they have earned his trust, he will remain by their side through thick and thin. His closest companions include the Clan's messenger, archivist and the Arcane representative, Valentin.
