Sarge grew up in the Arcanist's Domain and spent much of his youth guarding the Starwood Strand from invading forces from the Scarred Wasteland. The beauty of the blossoming trees reminded him of the magical, enchanting world that needed protecting. He served as part of the vanguard of the defense squad.

After a particularly bad bout of illness, Sarge went to recuperate in the sunny domain of the Lightweaver. There are a number of skilled healers there and the distance from the Scarred Wasteland's diseases would be beneficial. There he has remained, having fallen in love with Kelp. However, he understands that the gentle Spiral has trauma of her own to process and may never be willing to return his affection. Sarge doesn't mind and is willing to stay be her side - as a friend, if that's what she needs.
