Juniper

Adopted from Dracoangelica's clan, a close ally of ours! Wasabi needed other Fae to socialize with, considering the distinctive Fae temperament and communication methods. Already the two of them are thick as thieves and people are calling them "the twins"! Juniper is considerably bolder and more active than little Wasabi.

11/11/13 -- Juniper is all grown up and very much the bad boy of the clan, with his pierced wings and rakish scar (a Coliseum souvenir, courtesy of protecting Wasabi from a wildwood owl). Juni throws himself into life with all four feet and, 'Sabi opines, no brain, but he'll probably settle down as he and Wasabi get older and have hatchlings to look after. (Honestly, Juniper will be relieved if most of his first clutch get sold off!)

12/3/2013 -- Juniper's hatchlings are all grown up, and he and Candyfloss have parted ways. Though sorry to disappoint Candy, whom he likes as a person, Juniper simply can't reciprocate her affection, and feels little desire to be involved with the son (Lysander) that she cossets relentlessly. Poor Sandy would benefit from more paternal influence in his life, but though Juniper likes the kid and is even kinda proud of him, he's mostly too busy being out and about with Wasabi to bother with him.

1/21/14 -- Juni has been a different dragon since the lair collapse that killed his son, snappish and broody, haunted by guilt and grief. His protectiveness of Wasabi has intensified to the point that they never go to the Coliseum anymore; it inevitably led to some kind of incident, Juniper flipping out at someone who hurt Wasabi. Juni's always said he didn't need a familiar, he had 'Sabi, but he has finally been persuaded to take one, a black wolf. Wasabi hopes that training and befriending it will help pull Juniper out of his depression.

2/13/14 -- Juniper is starting to work through his black cloud; his moods are stabilizing, his smile breaking through more often. He doesn't know whether the clan's new Legacy project is going to help or hurt; he and Wasabi have been put in charge of it, and while organizing everything and caring for hatchlings could be fun, it's a lot of responsibility. Plus, Wasabi is the starter, and Juni can't help being jealous of the time and charm he lavishes on his new mate, however temporary she may be.

3/9/14 -- With Wasabi's mate gone, Juni was able to settle into the whole Legacy thing much more happily, and found himself unexpectedly attached to 'Sabi's daughter Juliet. Now she has exalted, leaving Juniper and Wasabi to raise the next link in the Legacy, her daughter Victoria, and though he could never tell Wasabi this, Juni isn't sure he can give her the same unreserved affection he did Juliet; it hurts too much when he knows she'll probably leave. It's not like he didn't know what was coming with Juliet, she'd talked about it her whole life, but he misses her so much that it's hard not to resent little Victoria for displacing her.

8/2/14 -- The Legacy Quest is accomplished at last! After raising seven generations of Wasabi's descendants to serve the gods, he and Juniper have been rewarded with a hatchling specially charged by the Tidelord to be their son, a little one they can raise and keep forever. Little Morpho is a beautiful butterfly of a boy and adores his new daddies!
