Shrouded in mystery, Calypso holds the role of a fortune teller in her clan. Every bit as dark and enigmatic as her night-colored pelt, she gives her clanmates cause to watch their step around her. No one ever quite knows what exactly the ominous-looking pearlcatcher is up to, only that it is not something they should even consider meddling in. They only know to treat her with respect and get out of her way as quickly as possible when she is in the middle of conducting her business. What exactly her business is, however, is largely up for debate.

Known for her dangerously short temper, Calypso is the last dragon one would ever want to cross. Especially since she has the vast magical capabilities to back up even the most extreme of her threats. Because of her quickness to anger and her impulsive streak, an offender may have a curse thrown in their direction before even beginning in their second wave of insults. Of course, this is what happens when she is mildly perturbed. Calypso’s displays of true wrath are so terrifying they can make even the most haunting of nightmares seem like the fluff-filled day dreams of tundra cubs by comparison.

Calypso is a dragon that no one will probably ever understand. This is theorized as an effect of being constantly confronted with the bitter, dark possibilities of the future, but the results are -- interesting, to say the least. Her sense of humor is darker and more confusing than the depths of the Tangled Wood. Often she will cast hexes only for her own amusement, though they can end up being spiteful or simply harmless pranks.

Any day in Calypso’s clan can be the wildest or most horrifying adventure. She can and has made an imperial shed all of their mane at once. She has made dragons’ tails disappear without warning. She has caused the illusion of always sinking into the ground, even if the earth is actually solid. She has given a fae duck feet for a day. She has cast a freezing hex on a spiral, leaving them helplessly trapped and trembling with energy. There is no telling what she will do.

This dragoness has an oddly devious streak in her. Every once in a while, she doesn’t even apply a hex at all. Instead, she revels in the alarm of the dragons who believe with all their strength that she must have. This can lead to a disrespectful, arrogant youngster nearly scratching their scales off in response to an itching hex that was never even cast in the first place. Calypso will simply sit back and watch the chaos unfold, leaving bystanders to wonder what aspect of the future inspired such a dark personality.
