Born with a great power for empathy and magic, TideGem had often dreamed of becoming a healer and using his abilities to better serve dragon kind. Unfortunately it was because of his ability to sense emotion that he was unable to heal in the traditional way. When faced with a ward of sick and physically harmed dragons, he would be overwhelmed by their pain to the point that he was ill himself. Thus he turned himself to a different style of healing, that of healing the deeper and more subtle pains- injuries of mind, heart and soul that a dragon may not be aware they even have. Through massage, therapy, and pleasure, he gives to dragons of the clan what they need at the time in order to heal. Though some dragons may object to this style of healing, TideGem bears them no ill will and offers his services to any who need it. TideGem's other major duty is to help create and manage the many festivals and parties that the clan holds. Working with chefs, dancers and artists he coordinates their actions so nothing is left lacking so that all may enjoy a brief respite from the everyday grind. "We are the rest after battle, and the blanket to warm them when they shiver. We are the comfort in the darkness when death has become far too personal; we are the listeners who hear without judgement." |
