Personality
Star is the cynical counterpart to Soleil. He may be a philosopher and a servant of Lightweaver herself, but that gives him no reason to not be as pessimistic as he wants to be. He dictates that other dragons are almost exclusively inheritly evil, and while he says so much about the 'evil' of dragonhood, he never claims for there to be a way to repent from these 'vices'. There might only be one dragon to him that is good, and that's his bright eyed mate, Soleil.
Star often offends the similiarly named Starbright, because he often says the 'deities' are just glorified dictators that use their power to opress, and if any of them were good, they would have fixed the mess that Sorenth is currently in. This special way of looking at the dieties has gotten him an interesting reputation as a Light Flight representative, and he is often unwelcome without Soleil to keep him in check.
He also treats other dragons who don't know him very well with utter snark and sarcasm. It's hard to get used to, and many percieve him as a judging and rude dragon, but those who stick around him long enough realise that that is just how he is. Once he warms up to someone, there is a sudden change in tone. The cold snark becomes affectionate teasing, and his icy demeaner becomes a bit more than just the cold exterior. History
Star was born with golden feathers. His scales shone like the sun, and glimmered brighter than any star. His parents named him after this, and his clan celebrated that. He was, however, born frail, and weak. He couldn't walk, crawl, and when he became old enough, fly for many years. His parents guarded him like a dog, and the clan collectively attempted to protect him.
But there was never peace in that clan, there was always conflicts with rivaling clans, flights, and beastclans. Though his parents never told him, they were under attack constantly. The magic and claws destroyed the clan one by one, then it finally got to him. While his mother was fighting to protect him, his father took him on his wings and tried to fly him into the training fields, where he'd be safer. He was wounded, and old and while carrying his small son, he passed out before he could make it to the training fields. He died holding Star in his arms, and when Star woke up, all of Sorienth could feel his screams.
So after that, he lived the rest of his childhood in the forgotten caves, crawling and slinking around for food, his golden sheen slowly crackling off leaving just black broken scales. It wasn't until years later did this clan's battle team find a small black and gold dragon hiding in the caves, nearly starved to death. The scars of that battle still seen in his wings and neck.
