Gyllene believes that being strong is the most attractive trait someone can have. There are many ways to be strong and the way he chose to grow was to work on his Shadow magic, but he also focused a lot on discipline and healing. If you ask him about it, he'll tell you that it's because he wants to make sure his fellow strong friends will be able to keep fighting on and on.
But the truth is that he knows not everyone can be strong in the physical nor mental way; but that shouldn't diminish their worth, instead the strong ones should use their power to protect and help the weaker ones.

He started training in the coliseum along with two other clan members (Sprucecone and WinterWind) who also wanted to grow stronger and more experienced. After many months of training and battle, they became very close friends.
