Veil is a dragon of seemingly few emotions. Cold, aloof, and stoic, his default method of speaking is in deadpan sarcasm. He is very logical and grounded, preferring the company of his gems and jeweler's tools to that of other dragons. Fortunately, his trade brings in much wealth for the lair; his personality may not endear him to many of his lairmates, but his ability to bring in treasure has made him much more tolerable to most.

His blunt attitude and matter-of-fact outlook on life makes him an excellent advisor to the lair's Matriarch. Veil is good at considering all sides of an argument, and weighing all options when important decisions must be made. Although seemingly a bit harsh at times, Veil really does try to do what is best for his clan, and guides them to the best of his abilities.

Despite his highly reserved emotional state, Veil seems to have recently taken a shine to Palla. He shows concern whenever she leaves the lair alongside Teal and Vanguard to hunt or fight in the coliseum, and often paces with worry until she returns. Palla herself is rather reserved, (not to mention that most of her lairmates are usually afraid of her, and certainly not attracted to her) and doesn't seem to know what to make of Veil's affections for her. They seem to get along well enough during their brief exchanges throughout the day, when Veil makes trips to and from the lair's vault to collect supplies for his jewelry-making. Only patience and time will tell whether or not his attempts to court her will prove successful.
