As the clan ambassador, Dapple's job is going and negotiating trade routes, boundary disputes and petty squabbles with the leaders of the surrounding dragon and beastclan groups. He also frequently takes trips to further clans all across Sornieth to encourage trade to the little Silverwind clan, ensuring they have enough food and goods to flourish. He has been doing this for longer than anyone can remember and he is very good at his job despite often coming across as a bit out of it at times. Dapple is the definition of a dragon with his head in the clouds. Constantly day dreaming, forgetting things and losing his way it's often a miracle that something bad hasn't befallen him yet. His daughter, Lynessa, calls him an airhead (lovingly) and the pair of them often make jokes about his memory. She knit him a decorative pouch in which to keep his pearl in and tied down because otherwise he'd always be misplacing it somewhere. Thankfully the longest time his pearl has been lost for was just 1 week. (It just rolled under his bed). Despite the frequency of his travels, Dapple is the worst dragon to ask for directions. He will point you in the wrong direction and he will be confident about it. Dumb luck, godly interference and the help of Rita seem to be the things holding Dapple together as his inability to read a map make his trips to other clans quite hectic. Despite this, he seems to have the uncanny ability to take flight and end up exactly where he wants to go. He attributes this to many different stories including, but not limited to: having courier dragon in his lineage, his pearl being kissed by Windsinger, his egg being dropped into a magical spring and lastly, his pearl being able to sense which direction is north. The most likely real reason: Rita knows how to read a map and is tired of going off in the wrong direction with him.

Daps had taken on the role of clan leader from Rusty, but he is still learning and is very disorganised so Rusty is still the leader for now. He tends to be very quiet and silent and day dreams a lot. he loves hatchlings and he loves telling them stories of the places hes visited, but most times Miri stops these because she says it gives them bad notions. he never listens to her and ends up keeping the hatchligs up late with his storytelling.

Dapple is the Clan's Ambassador and so when he picks up and leaves for a trip it is usually one on business. His trips have him dealing with friendly and not-so-friendly clans, beastclans, trading merchants and many multitudes of dragons along his path. Despite his lack of direction, it seems that windsinger himself blessed Dapple's wings because as long as he is airbone and there is wind in the sky, he can find his way to where he needs to go. Dapple likes to tell a story of when he lost his pearl once, and found it a few days later at the bottom of an oasis spring, where some spirit or god had imbued it with a protective spell that allows him to always go in the right direction regardless of his own crap sense of up and down.

Whether that story is true or not has never been proven.
