Viriya, born of Lightning and with all the ambition of the Stormcatcher himself, quickly ascended in his hatch-clan as a strong contender for becoming a fighter-dragon. Wildclaws already tended to excel in such roles, but Viriya outclassed many others.

This success did tend to get to the young Wildclaw’s head however. His ego was inflated beyond belief. As a young, strong, and boastful dragon, he indeed always had mates coming and going as well, which only served to continue his “problems” in the “humble” department. Not that it mattered to him much, as his interest in others would wane rather quickly, but sometimes the Wildclaw wondered why no single individual would stick around with him for long.

When he left the Lightning Farm, for a time, he became a claw-for-hire. Viriya did like this life, considering it paid well enough, but it was hard to fight alone and he knew that. When he traveled over the Wind territories, he found an ad for a fighter position in the clan known as Draconem. At the time, they really had no fighting force, and he thought it perhaps a fine idea to go to that group and show his skills off.

Viriya ended up having to take much more responsibility for activities at Draconem then he first thought, however. They really did not have much in terms of fighters, and they needed the resources a strong squad could gain from battling. He managed to check his boasting for a little while and worked hard to bring a permanent team to Draconem to fight with him. As such, he is currently the de-facto leader of the Coliseum fighters of Draconem, now partnered with the Guardian, Tugger, and another Wildclaw named Sulmara.

The three did get along splendidly, and enjoyed the spoils of their work with feasting at the end of most days. After all, now that the hardest work was done, why not enjoy the fruits of his efforts? Viriya indeed went back to some of his old habits as responsibilities got easier to handle, and as such even has a son in Draconem, Zachary, that thinks of him like a god.

It wasn't long before Viriya and Sulmara wound up properly bonded as mates.

Viriya and Sulmara served dutifully for Draconem for many years, keeping their heads down as regime change after regime change shifted the structure of power. Eventually Tugger parted ways with the team, saying he could no longer stand the turmoil. Not soon after, the entire clan burned to the ground around them.

When the clan parted ways, he knew where he had to stay. The clan founders couldn't just be left alone and defenseless! See it all through to the end, or perhaps to a glorious new beginning - come what may, Draconem is his home.
