rude. She never protects him from the heat. But a silent agreement that day had been made; they both accepted the lonesome hatchling with little to no resistance from their own. In fact, the little ones were just a bit too excited about those peculiar wings; oh, so pretty. Only ever seen by the adults - Solak made it clear he would not have them touched, and none ever dared to come close to Karesh's advisor - creepy.

Neither Matriarch nor Patriarch were concerned with this; and for it to remain this way, the two Ridgeback made sure the outsider knew exactly who to borrow from - who would murder them for it - and who is a risk. And as Tamat grew up with these rules, she began challenge it, wishing to become better. They could only murder her if she got caught.

But she was just as inpatient. "I am no hatchling," the child spoke to her parents. They discouraged it, but did not stop their adopted daughter as she made a foolish attempt - borrowing a paper from the advisor; oh, such shiny runes.

Never had she expected for the bite of a dragon so much smaller to hurt this much or for the reflexes of one that supposedly was blind to be this fast. Perhaps it was pity for a dumb child that day which kept the Pearlcatcher from snapping her spine as though a twig.

Some laughed, most pretended it never happened; but the Spellweaver took interest in one who took risk despite knowing of the consequences. Comforting the young Ridgeback, even if perhaps not genuine, Scholerish began to make use of her - why spent their earned coin, when things can just be borrowed.

Serving as assistant to clan's Spellweaver, the young dragon learned to concentrate and focus; even picked up a few things from the Arcanist's pupil. She still as much to learn, adjusting to living among such a variety of individuals, especially with the strangers that always visit.}
