I know of death as it creeps
On dry mouths and crackled lips
And how it lingers when one sleeps
How the darkness lingers, gnaws and rips.

But I know of the rising sun,
I know of warmth and tender sighs
The sweet dew drops and what makes us one,
I know of happiness, I know of night time skies

I was born underneath the stars,
Constellation in my eyes,
and memories of demise but now so afar
But now I know I will never die.
