Biography

The Sadistic Plant

Ark used to be your ordinary and casual dragon that wandered about from region to region. He opened flower shops to give to others and spread happiness. The Coatl loved plants of any kind, especially flowers. He even raised his own Janustrap, who he named Trappy, that he brought along with through his travels.

It wasn't long until Ark became well-known among other dragon's in different regions. One day, Ark heard news of a strange flower in the Viridian Labyrinth. A new flower that he's never seen before? He had to look at it for himself! Gathering a few things together, he prepared for the search of the new flower.

The search for the flower took almost a week for the Coatl. Finally discovering a secret meadow that contained the unknown flower. Looking around, Ark finally found his target. It was a black flower with a smokey looking pattern on it. Amazed by this, Ark approached and examined the flower until a sudden black mist surrounded the Coatl. Jumping back, the snake dragon looked around quickly, unaware of what was happening. There was a voice that echoed throughout the mist. "Oh? Another Coatl? Don't mind if I do."

"Yes....yes...this is the one....the perfect vessel...~"

That was a few hours ago. Ark could only recall some weird voice that seemed to whisper into his head. After that, he passed out. He just proceeded to return home from the Labyrinth. Although, he couldn't help but wonder about the plants suddenly moving suspiciously whenever he got near them. Odd. That was only the beginning.

On the way back, he felt strange. There was a strong urge for water, and it felt amazing to be in the sun. His scales had a tingling feeling to it whenever the sunlight hit him, but that feeling was lost whenever he stepped into the shadows. He felt as if he was regaining energy somewhat. Passing by a river along the trail back, Ark did not hesitate to drink a nice helping of water as fast as possible. It felt amazing! Though, he still had quite a ways to go before he was back at the shop.

Soon enough, Ark arrived at home at the previous shop in the closest town, exhausted from the long trip and ready to sell more of his amazing flowers. Though, the plants were moving oddly as well just like the ones in the Labyrinth. His head ached and he began to sweat a bit. Even Trappy was acting oddly to him. Seeming to be...more obedient than usual. He had to lie down. The headache with the weird occurrence was too much.

Later that night was even worse. Ark couldn't sleep at all. A voice kept echoing in his head. It was the same voice from before, only it was louder....and louder...and louder. He screamed and writhed in agony, yelling for it to stop. He shouted again and again, soon attracting attention of some concerned dragons nearby as three rushed inside while others stayed outside. The Coatl was changing. A jade colored pattern was appearing over his body, almost as if a continuous tattoo was painfully adding on his midnight scaly skin. The trio of dragons were both stunned and confused. The Skydancer, a local doctor of the town, tried to give medical attention....only to suddenly have an intense pain through the chest.

The plants around the house began to act wildly, suddenly growing rapidly and shattering the pots and furniture. Ark himself was surprised. The pain throughout his body vanishing, and his mind clouded with that persistent voice. He laughed mischievously, grinning as the Skydancer bled from the vine that exited the floor. The other two, a Mirror and Wildclaw, were in danger now. The Mirror tried to pry the Skydancer off, only to witness another vine stab through the Skydancer's chest and through the Mirror's own face. Blood splattered across the Wildclaw's face, panic setting in as he attempted to run for his life. That was a futile attempt. Running into the previous room, everything was blocked off by the growing plants. It was almost too easy. Every path was closed, and they were drawing closer. One leg was caught by the roots, followed by the other. They squeezed tight...tighter...and tighter until the dragon's legs began to bleed. The poor Wildclaw was flipped upside-down, hanging over a giant Janustrap's waiting chomper. He screamed, trying to get away with futile effort. Soon after, it was like dropping a prize down the hole as screams were no longer heard.

Ark laughed as he stepped out of the overgrown vegetation that consumed the shop. His own maw dripped with blood. The rest of the dragon's looked on in fear, and with a snap of his claws, the plants around the area went wild, slaughtering the innocent without hesitation.

"Welcome to the Shade, my Death Blossom~"
