She can be proud and a little bit prickly, like some of the flowers her coloring resembles. Any who assume her floral coloring indicates a delicate or overly feminine nature are like as not in for an unpleasant, toothily sharp surprise.

She often stands a little too much on her dignity and (unless they immediately display some outstandingly impressive trait) tends to view other dragons as beneath her. It is unknown exactly what impressed her enough about clan progenitor Parallax that convinced her to join his then-small clan. She came from his fae clan of origin, and named herself Athazan at a time when the small clan barely filled one corner of its echoing home caverns on the Zephyr Steppes. She was happy enough to help clan co-founder Alizee with her fresh hatchlings, but snootily prefers fae babies to all others, and has kept her distance from nursery duty and even most adult newcomers as the clan diversified and expanded significantly (particularly as those accursed skydancers entered and quickly took over to outnumber the faes).

Amarynthus has long been in awe of her, though given Calz's own brisk forwardness she remains blissfully unaware of his crush upon her, despite having found a few fragments of his crumpled and torn-up attempts at lovelorn poetry.
