Tycho
Magician and Experimenter

Born of the plague flight, with the heart of the Arcane flight. Naturally curious, he loves to experiment. As a hatchling this got him in to trouble. He could often be found experimenting on his siblings and other young dragons of the clan. This eventually led to his parents sending him on his way, exiled from his own home.
He journeyed for a long time, along the way he learned that he possessed some, though not much, magical powers. He learned to use these powers for tricks for entertainment. Eventually, as he got older, he would wow a crowd with his tricks. This finally led him to the Arcane domain. He fell in love with a lovely witch dragon. She was far more powerful than he was, but was amused by his silly tricks.
Through the years he tried to learn from her, and get better with his magic. She would help him as much as she could, but there is only so much you can do when someone does not have the same powers as you.
Eventually she was sent off to war, to fight for the Arcanist, because she was the most powerful of her clan. Heartbroken they parted ways, knowing she wouldn't come back from war. Once you left to fight for your diety, you would not return, dead, or alive.
He gathered his small hoard of trinkets and chemistry sets, another hobby he had grown to love with the help of his true love.
He walked aimlessly, refusing to fly to make his journey easier. He was so heartbroken he barely saw a point to anything anymore.
Eventually he stumbled and fell, his trinkets breaking, just like his heart had. He lay there for a long time, making no effort to get back up. He eventually fell asleep. When he woke, it was to find a curious face starting at him. It was a starbear. He had followed Tycho all the way from the Starfall Isles. The Starbear nudged Tycho, looking at him with pleading eyes to get back up.
Tycho recognized this bear. This was a bear he had experimented with, as a young dragon. His runes now glowed from the experiment they had done, not just at night, but all the time, bright, and shining. Tycho hadn't thought to say goodbye to his old friend, caught up in his sorrow when he had left. He wondered how long the bear had been following him. Eventually Tycho stood, sweeping the bear into a hug. They continued thier journey in silence, enjoying the other's company.
Eventually they made the decision to return to the Plaguelands, where Tycho was born, to see if he could regain some sort of feeling of home.
His parent's clan would never take him back, especially not after so many years of being in the Arcane domain. So they wandered, hoping, and waiting to find a friendly clan that would take them in.

(notes for later) Occasionally his lair mates hear explosions from his tower like cave as he fiddles with new potion concoctions. He keeps to himself for the most part, but does enjoy showing curious dragons what his experiments are all about. Unfortunately that occasionally ends up being less than positive for those curious dragons that ventured into his lair. Whether it's because Tycho asks for a claw or scale sample, or because Tycho has spilled some of his potion on, or near, the other dragon. The results vary. Typically the members of the Skysong clan know to keep out of his tower, especially if he isn't there, but there's always new, or young, dragon that ventures into the dwellings of Tycho.
