Natharion was once a travelling Imperial who ventured across the land, seeking new sights and adventures. However, one eve, he stumbled into the Whispering City, and ever since has been lost within.

A grim and broody sort, Natharion has taken his study of the phenomena around the Whispering City farther than any dragon before him. He is a highly opinionated dragon and makes great effort to convince others of his views.

Natharion is of the strong belief that the Whispering City is a dream realm, and that everyone within is slumbering in the Southern Icefield. He has made significant effort to convince the other dragons to 'wake up', but so far, very few have taken him seriously.

Regardless of his impassioned belief, he is also somewhat content. While it saddens him that he is 'stuck in the dream', he also realizes that he could not 'wake up' without bringing along the other dragons around him. He lives at the edge of the Whispering City near Prismatika, and spends his days writing a series of poems and books about 'The Waking World', a fictional alternate world outside the Whispering City and Sornieth which is both more beautiful and more dangerous. Nobody is under any illusion that this is not a subtle attempt to spread his belief, but he is an excellent author with a flair for storytelling, so the dragons of the Whispering City read his books anyway.

Natharion's First Poem Here I lie, in realm of sleep; beneath the snow we're buried deep. Within the dark, they come alive; among the faerie lights they thrive. Here we lie, a slumbering place; They all move with drifter's grace. No sun rises, no night falls; All that sounds are Vulstal's calls. Here they lie, a drifting land; Snow falls into open hand.
