Biography

Lav was once part of a wind clan, aiding with the defense of her home and keeping the morale of her fellows high. During a raid on a group of insane Plaguebearers beyond their border, Lav sustained several minor wounds taking down a rot-furred tundra, which were at first thought harmless. The slow-acting toxin courtesied by her opponent went undetected for two years, before it's effect was noticed.

Once known for her sermons and the inspiration her words could bring to others during peace-times, Lav is now a very silent thing. After contracting her plague, her voice fell away while her vocal chords eroded and melted within her throat. The vocal chamber that once allowed her to make the same sounds any other Wildclaw is capable of has completely dissolved. Even growling and more feral noises are impossible, and she has earned her nickname as the Silent Fang.

Shortly after losing her voice, Lav developed a plagueish sort of Turrets. Rather than speaking, or simply chittering at others, this form of 'turrets' combined with a latent disease she had held prior to her plagueing so that she viciously attacked others tooth and claw, losing all sense of self. For her clan's protection, the dragon's maw was tied shut with a linen wrap enhanced with silken threads from spiders found in the wild.

While she still seemed to retain her sanity, the morality of her decisions since then has had her removed from her clan and her initial people, forcing her to pack with the plague-ridden mongrels she now calls family. Thanks to the indiscriminate nature of her plague, she once wore white linen wraps about her maw to keep the damage from landing on other plaguebearers.

Lav has recently given up all claim to sanity, as well as the linens. She's taken to something of a gruesom habit of decking herself in bird bones and feathers, with a fondness for purple in them. The den's plaguemaster has yet to say anything, but speculation is that she bears amusement to the fact.
