Karen is quite different from her sister. While both serve under Joseff, Karen is far more brutal in nature and relishes getting into fights. What separates her from Caryo is that Caryo enjoys a fair sparring match, whereas Karen is perfectly fine with a fight to the death-often using underhanded methods to do so.

Karen is also quick to anger, contributing further to her love of bloody fights. However, give her a mission and she becomes eerily calm and focused. In this state, she'll do what she can to get the mission done in the most efficient manner possible. Despite her shortcomings, she can definitely be counted upon to ensure whatever the Clan needs done gets done.

Both Joseff and Caide keep a watchful eye on her as they do not want her poor temperament to affect the running of the Clan Protection Branch. So far the results have been mixed; most are fine with her on a mission, but outside of that, they do not care to walk around on eggshells.

However, Caryo seems to have taken something of an interest-as long as she's willing to spar, then Karen can get her bloodlust satisfied. Caryo is willing to deal with the underhanded ways that Karen fights as it provides her a way to come up with techniques to counter Karen's attacks. It also seems that with Caryo around, Karen is in a much more calm state and seems quite willing to please Caryo.

Amorra and Karen get along quite well as they often sarcastically joke about each other. While some in the clan wonder how exactly they get along, it's because they share the same dark humor and for Amorra, the feeling that somewhere, the deities also messed up Karen.

Recently, Karen has sprouted additional wings. Even more shocking is that said wings are feathered. No one is quite certain how exactly this came about.
