Ssussunsssiks

Ssussunsssiks, more often referred to as Sun, can be best described as an anomaly. Born into the earth flight, Sun has long sought the power of the gods; by any means necessary. A revered alchemist in his birth-clan, Sun quickly learned the ins-and-outs of magic, from its arcane roots to practical applications, there is nothing he cannot achieve by one mean or another.

Sun's lust for power led to his eventual decline. In searching for the means to surpass the Earthshaker, Sun turned his attention to the Flamecaller, who welcomed the idea of receiving the Earthshaker's child if it meant weakening his ranks. He spent long years studying the world's lore, often trading favors or trinkets for stories only the Flamecaller herself could tell. Sun used the Flamecaller's ambition and temper to his advantage during his stay, eventually (although without explanation) stealing some of her power for himself.

It was with that act that Sun realized the true limits of the god's children. It was beyond any single dragon to attain the god's power. The small fragment he had stolen from the Flamecaller turned his body to ash from his heart to his skin, a long and painful process that continued unhindered for decades. It was all Sun could do to survive, he utilized his affinity towards earth to crystallize what remained of himself. Having learned of his deceptions, the Flamecaller sought Sun across the continents, there was no place safe from her and her armies. Writhing in pain and kept alive only by his stolen power, Sun wandered into the domain of the Shadowbinder, broken and weary of his travels.

'Where better to hide?' He thought.
